The Illustrated Letters of Charles M. Russell
Presentation Copy
Known as the “59-Copy Edition”
In reality, there could be 10-15 more copies. The book was bound in full
blue buckram, with beveled edges and gilt top, and mostly presented by
Nancy Russell and Will Rogers to those who lent letters reproduced in
the book. This collection contains both a presented copy and an
unpresented copy.
This book is the most highly sought-after of all Russell books.
The Harrison Collection contains one of two known copies that was
never presented and is rumored to have been previously owned by Harry
Maule, Editor.
